It’s Newsletter Time!

I am sure everyone has certain jobs that they procrastinate about, well this a mine. The only time I get profound ideas is when I am going to bed or dreaming. My son is a poet and author. Where in the world did that come from, certainly not his mother.
Since we are on the subject of my son we have great news. He was offered a summer position teaching at ASU as well as 4 classes for the fall and spring semester. Way to go Professor Haunschild! Mark the dad is starting to enjoy retirement the first few months took a little getting used to. He is doing a little consulting work with the town, and helping on Butte County Fire Safe Council and Paradise Fire Safe Council. He has also been helping a lot at the store. So the honey do list is growing instead of shrinking. Poor Mark. You all see Jen so I don’t really need to update you about her, but she was in an accident last week. Some guy rear-ended her on the Skyway going about 40 miles per hour. So of course she is milking it for all it’s worth. (Not really) Some days I just look at Jen and think how did I get so blessed to work with this sweetie pie and call her my Daughter?

We have a nice class schedule for you this summer. Please go to www.morningstarquilters.com to access the class schedule and pictures of the classes.

Quilt Rush was a blast. If you were unable to attend you really missed a fun time. We were rocking and rolling, talking and laughing. The dates for next year are April 13-17th. Plan to come.

Our next shop hop is River Run September 9 – 11. Morning Star Quilts will be having a tailgate party as our theme. Lots of prizes, food, fun and fabric. You must plan on this fun event.

We are fast approaching our first annual Morning Star Quilts Retreat. A group of 30 will be heading for Graegle for 4 days of sewing, quilting, sewing, food, laughter, fun, and very little sleep. We can hardly wait.

Quilt Market is only a few weeks away. I would really like your input on products that you would like us to investigate. Just email me soon with your ideas at morningstarquilts@sbcglobal.net.

I am forgetting to tell you about our newest arrival. Leo the Longarm is now living at the store. We are very excited to be selling the HandiQuilter Avante and Fusion longarm models. We have an in store repair man (Mark) who is going for training in August. He will also be installing your longarm when it is delivered. Jen and I will be teaching you how to get started with your quilting. We want you to know if you buy a longarm from us you will receive excellent customer service as well as warranty work. I will also be carrying HandiQuilter notions, and will order products, as you need them.

As customers and friends you continue to amaze me. We feel so blessed to have all of you in our lives. We hope to be here for a long time to meet your quilting needs and provide a fun Happy Place for you. I have been trying to blog so remember to check out our blog once in awhile. You can access the blog from our web page www.morningstarquilters.com.

God bless you and have a Happy Spring
Marsha
